Our lives are so sheltered soemtimes we forget the world around us. It is a terrifying place especially for those battling this. The numbers show it. We live in a scary world. How we change this is one of the hardest thing facing teens and adults today. Soemtimes you feel so helpless because your are trying to help those who do not want it. What do you?
The numbers on this chart show just how scary our world today can be. I believe that many people feel like they arent receiving the help they need, or they feel as if they dont belong. We can change the numbers on this chart by trying to help people with depression, by giving them aid in their everyday lives. It seems like teens are the ones that have the hardest time going through depression, and i believe that if we get them the help they need these numbers could be looking a little bit different.
This graph just goes to show how many suffer, from depression and suicide. In fact, there are more than these suffering; these numbers are for the US only. Many people suffer from depression but are not diagnosed by a doctor, for whatever reason. In addition, there are quite a few survivors from suicide attempts that leave them permanently hurt and scarred. The statistics have shown a double in suicides in the US, twice, during two separate surveys. Most seem to be from teens and younger people. It all goes to show how rough our world is and how tough it can be to live in it.
This graph shows that many people go on living life without the help and support that they need. It shows that the few people who recognize that they have a problem seek medical attention and receive medication for it. I believe that it is important to increase the percent of the diagnosed people, to help everyone who lacks the hope within themselves. The chart shows just how big of an issue depression is. And, the chart also proves that it is important for society to recognize their need to help all victims of depression. I think that this is a wake up call to all people who are uninformed of this issue , or are just so caught up in their own lives to realize the problems of others. I think that this presentation of the problem should serve as the push that brings society together and find a way to help others resolve the issues in their mind.
